We are constantly improving our service to achieve a simple and convenient ordering process. The answers and tips below should answer any questions that you may have.

WHAT IS EATSTUDENT?
EATSTUDENT is a leading takeaway delivery website. With over 1,000 restaurants and a range of cuisines to choose from including Italian, Thai, Chinese, Caribbean, Japanese and Indian, EATSTUDENT is the easiest way to order your favorite meal to your home.
DO I NEED AN ACCOUNT TO USE THE SERVICE?
In order to ensure you receive the best possible service, we provide a quick and easy sign up process. You will receive offers and promotions by email, have the ability to re-order saved meals in a few clicks, leave reviews and securely store your card details for future fast ordering.
HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER?
It’s incredibly simple to place an order on our website. All you need is your postcode, a valid email address and contact number. You can then browse the menus, add items to your basket and choose your delivery time.
CAN I ORDER FOR COLLECTION?
Yes, many of our restaurants offer the choice of your food being delivered to your address or collect from the restaurant.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY ORDER?
When you have finished selecting the food you want, you move onto the next page to complete your order and select your payment type. This can either be by card or gift voucher, or you can select to pay cash on delivery or collection. Unfortunately payment cannot be made by PayPal. Card payments are processed securely by Sage Pay and will appear on your statement as www.eatstudent.com.
DELIVERY
Please ensure that you provide an accurate delivery address and further instructions if your address is difficult to find. If the restaurant is unable to locate your address, they will contact you by telephone so you also need to make sure you leave a valid contact number on your order details. Please note that if a restaurant is unable to find your address to deliver your order and is unable to reach you by telephone, refunds for paid orders will be at the discretion of the restaurant.
DOES IT COST ME EXTRA TO ORDER ONLINE?
No, all the prices listed on our website are taken directly from the restaurant’s latest menu. We don’t charge you anything for using the service or paying online. Some restaurants also offer exclusive special offers to EATSTUDENT customers.
WILL THERE BE A DELIVERY CHARGE?
No, our restaurants do not have a delivery charge as long as the minimum order value for free delivery is met. Some restaurants may offer you the option to pay a small delivery charge if you do not meet the free delivery value.
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO ARRIVE?
Estimated minimum delivery times are clearly displayed on the list of restaurants screen after you have entered your postcode. The delivery times may vary depending on the day of the week and the time of the day.
CANCELLING AN ORDER
Due to the rapid transmission of your order details to the restaurant, the preparation of your meal will most like have begun immediately after you place your order. Therefore, we do not offer a cancellation service on our site. You may contact the restaurant direct and request the order to be cancelled however this will be purely at their discretion. If they authorise the cancellation and you have paid online, we will refund your payment for you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I’VE RECEIVED WRONG ITEMS WITH MY ORDER?
In the first instance, please contact the restaurant as soon as possible to resolve the issue straight away. The restaurant’s phone number will be found on the email confirmation.
I WANT TO HAVE MY ORDER DELIVERED TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS, BUT THE RESTAURANTS MINIMUM ORDER VALUE IS DIFFERENT
Our restaurants agree an area to which they will deliver free of charge providing the order value is of a certain amount. The restaurant may be happy to deliver further afield but in order to cover their costs, have to ensure the order value is slightly higher.
CAN I ORDER FROM MORE THAN ONE RESTAURANT AT A TIME?
Yes you can. After you have added your favourite food items to the basket, click on ADD NEW RESTAURANT at the top of the page. You can then choose a different restaurant and when you begin adding items from the new menu, they will appear in the same basket underneath the original food order. When you have added everything you require, proceed through the checkout and your order will be sent to the respective restaurants. Please note that each restaurant will deliver their own portion of your order so you will receive more than one delivery. This service is provided as a convenience only, we cannot in any way guarantee that any orders made will be delivered the same time.
ARE MY PERSONAL DETAILS SAFE ON YOUR SITE?
We won't store your information online and it will never be passed on to third parties without your consent (except for when you place an order and we will let the restaurant know where to deliver). We strictly use your personal information to facilitate and administer your food orders. Please click here for more information on your privacy.
HOW SECURE ARE MY CARD DETAILS IF I PAY ONLINE THROUGH EATSTUDENT?
Card payments are handled securely by our processing company Sage Pay and all transactions are verified using the security system 3D Secure. In the event of a payment query, you will never be asked by a member of the EATSTUDENT team for your full card details, and we would urge you not to volunteer them.
CAN I SAVE MY CARD DETAILS TO MY USER ACCOUNT?
Yes, to save your card details, simply tick the box at the checkout which states: 'Please save my card details securely for faster ordering next time'.
IF I CHOOSE TO SAVE MY CARD DETAILS, ARE THEY STORED SECURELY?
For your security, your card details are safely stored with Sage Pay, our payment provider and are not viewable by anyone else, including the EATSTUDENT team.
HOW MANY CARDS CAN I SAVE TO MY USER ACCOUNT?
You can save as many cards to your user account as you wish.
HOW DO I REMOVE MY SAVED CARD DETAILS?
You can remove your saved card details at anytime. At the checkout, select the card you wish to remove from the dropdown list and select 'Remove this card'. This will permanantly delete the card from the system. Alternatively in your member area, click on 'Card Details', select the card you wish to manage, and click 'Remove Card' to permanantly delete the card.
